Board of Fire Commissioners:
Your elected Board of Fire Commissioners oversees the fiscal management
and planning of Graham Fire & Rescue. The Board of Fire
Commissioners is comprised of three community residents who are elected by majority
vote of the public. Each commissioner is elected to serve a term of six
years.
The current Board of Fire Commissioners is: Verne
M. Pierson, Board Chairman
Retired teacher, Bethel Schools, 31 years, Retired Col. Army/National
Guard, 33 years. Science Dept. Head, Major Unit Commander, State
Director Selective Service appointed by the President, 9 years Fire
Commissioner. BS in Biology, PLU 1965, Masters Counseling, St. Martin's
1988.

E. Skaggs, Commissioner
Pierce County Deputy Fire Marshall, Fire Commissioner 17 years, AA in
Criminal Justice, Graduate of FBI, ATF and National Fire Academies,
recently retired from 254th Red Horse Flight, Armed Services.

Chief
Reggie Romines
Fire Chief Reggie Romines was raised in Eureka, California. He graduated from high school in North Bend, Oregon in 1973, and became a resident/volunteer firefighter with the Coos Bay Fire Department where he remained until he graduated from Southwestern Community College with a degree in General Studies and Fire Science.
In 1976, Chief Romines was hired by the United States Forest Service as a wild-land firefighter. In
1977, he was hired as a career firefighter at Coos Bay where he promoted through the ranks to Deputy Chief of Operations. In 1994, Chief Romines was hired by Graham Fire & Rescue as an Assistant Chief, and in 1999, promoted to the position of Fire Chief. That same year Chief Romines completed the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Chief Romines is active in the Graham Business Association,
is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Pierce
County Fire Chiefs Association and Society of Executive Fire Officers, and the Lipoma Firs Men’s
Golf Club. He has three children and enjoys golfing, hunting and outings with family and friends in his free time.

Chaplains, 2 Public Education/Prevention Officers and 6 office staff.

Benefit Golf Tournament
Thanks to everyone who came and
joined us at the Firefighter Benefit Golf Tournament on Friday, August
31 at the Spanaway Lake Golf Course. We had a great turnout to raise money for a
Graham firefighter who has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
